Cylinder Sleeves for 836, 849 & 900cc Bore Kits

Even though 836 big bore kits have been around for years, some people believe that the wall thickness is thin. So, many people install these sleeves to regain wall thickness. These sleeves will be needed when increasing bore sizes larger than 65mm (836cc) up to 67.5mm. Outside diam. is 2.916 inches (74mm) The bottom of the sleeve is tapered down 2.752 (69.9mm) to allow the sleeves to fit inside of the upper case without bore the upper case larger. Inside diameter is 2.522 (64.07mm)

These sleeves have been the choice of engine builders for decades because of their dense long lasting cast iron materials. Most machinists can hear the difference when boring the cylinders and feel the toughness/denseness when honing them.

Note: Sometimes the upper cases have casting flash or casting protrusions which will need to be removed.
