Matt Esterline competes in AHRMA's Sportsman 750 races!

Featuring a motor with a bunch of stuff from us, racer and customer Matt Esterline recently took the circuit by storm at Gingerman Raceway and found a lot of success top to bottom with his Honda.

Here's a few words from Matt himself on the bike:

"The only thing CB750 is the engine castings and frame, the rest is custom built for this bike, most parts are one-off. Bike is being raced in in the AHRMA Sportsman 750 class against XS650 Yamahas and Triumph twins and triples. Full engine internals by Cycle X including custom pistons, cam, chains, crank, rods, trans and gaskets/seals. The engine makes 80hp at the wheel breathing through stock round top carbs. One-off parts include triple trees, rotor centers, brake hangers, rear set brackets, oil tanks, catch can and breather system, gauge mount. Cast iron front rotor, AP Racing caliper and Brembo master cylinder for best brakes available in the class. Every effort to cut weight was made, with stock bikes weighing at least 500lbs, this weighs under 360lbs with fuel and oil."

He also shared some pictures with us that were taken during his weekend, including the motor:

During our appearance at the 15th Annual Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham, Ken, Prez, and Justin ran into Matt and went over to his race tent after business hours. Needless to say, he was excited to run the track at Barber with his 77' CB750, even in practice. After some solid (and exhausting) laps, Matt ended up with a 3rd place finish in the RR Sportsman 750 Count!

And to no one's surprise, he's all smiles after getting the trophy!

Extra cool points for the University of Horsepower merch!
